Our Tuff Spot Tray Channels set offers a dynamic and versatile addition to any Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) environment, perfect for enhancing sensory play and STEM activities. This set includes three uniquely designed wooden channels that transform everyday play into a rich, engaging experience for young learners.

The long channel, measuring 110cm in length, features diagonal raised wooden blocks that encourage objects, sand or water to move in a zigzag pattern. This innovative design not only captivates children's attention but also promotes problem-solving and fine motor skills as they experiment with different materials moving down the channel. The raised sides ensure that the contents stay on course, minimising spills and maintaining a focused play area.

Two shorter channels, each 60cm in length, add further variety and challenge to playtime. One of these channels has horizontally positioned raised blocks, creating natural dams or blockages. This design allows children to explore concepts of flow and obstruction, fostering critical thinking and cause-and-effect reasoning. The second short channel, with its raised sides, provides a straightforward path for materials to travel, perfect for observing basic principles of motion and gravity.

Each channel is equipped with sturdy wooden stoppers underneath, designed to secure the channels on the edges of Tuff Spot Trays or similar robust surfaces. These stoppers not only prevent the channels from sliding off during use but also allow for easy setup of slopes or bridges. By placing the channels between two Tuff Spot trays of equal height, children can create exciting bridges, while different height setups introduce slopes for added complexity and fun.

This Tuff Spot Tray Channels set is ideal for water play, sand play or loose parts play, offering endless opportunities for creative exploration and learning.
